The TOTO K300 Washlet (SW3036) is TOTO’s newest foray into the premium bidet toilet seat category. With a slim design, the K300 SW3036 washlet is available in Elongated size only and includes the typical premium bidet seat features like tankless water heating, warm air dryer, deodorizer, heated seat and a self cleaning nozzle.  While TOTO typically has only released lower end value seats and ultra high end luxury seats, the K300 SW3036 washlet is its first bidet product attempting to reach this mid range premium category.

With the K300 washlet, TOTO is trying its hand in the mid-range, online bidet seat market.  Compared to the lower end C200 and C100 models, the K300 has a much slimmer and lower profile design.  The C series washlets are very bulky, around 8″-9″ tall in the rear.  While they function ok, the bulkiness of that model range is a big turn off to many users.  The TOTO K300 SW3036 bidet is just 5.25″ tall in the very rear, so it’s design is much more modern and in line with other premium bidet seats on the market.  The other big improvement the K300 has is the tankless water heating system.  This makes it much more energy efficient and provides unlimited warm water for maximum comfort. The round size was also eliminated in the K300 washlet series.

So what separates the K300 SW3036 from TOTO’s highest end models like the S500e and S550e?  The two major differences are the absense of TOTO’s unique eWater+ system, as well as the slightly bulkier design.  TOTOs highest end models are about 4.5″ tall in the rear, so they are the lowest profile bidet seats on the market.  While the K300’s 5.25″ design isn’t that much taller, it’s closer in line with other brands on the market like Bio Bidet, Brondell and Alpha. The K300 washlet also does not have an automatic lid/seat or an LED nightlight.

The absence of TOTO’s eWater+ system is a bigger deal for users that are specifically drawn to that unique feature in the high end models.  eWater+ uses electrolyzed water for maximum hygiene in misting the bowl and cleaning the nozzles.  The K300 washlet still offers a self cleaning nozzle and a premisting system before each use, it just doesn’t have the automatic bowl cleaning features and sanitizing functions of the S500e and S550e.

Other minor differences between the K300 and TOTO’s higher end washlets include a different remote control design with less fine tuning of features, a dryer with fewer adjustment levels, and just a single lid design.
